A FAMILY OF WINEMAKERS ON LAKE GARDA
Everything started with a merchant who transported wine along the shores of Lake Garda. And if we look closely, we can see that the F.lli Zeni Winery still remains faithful to this territory and its possibilities.
The Zeni family came to Bardolino, a town on Lake Garda, back in 1800. Since then its history is intertwined with that of farming, commerce and local tourism, constantly evolving over time.
From generation to generation, the members of the Zeni family have worked with passion and entrepreneurial enthusiasm to produce wine, from the foundation of the winery in 1870 up until today.
Intuition and love for wine are kept intact in this lineage as a hereditary character.
THE LEGACY OF NINO ZENI
In fact it was Nino who decided to move the production in the 1950s from the small winery in the historic center of Bardolino to its present location with more space and improved practicality in the hills above the village with a spectacular view of Lake Garda.
In the new winery he also decided to establish the wine museum to promote the culture and the story of wine growing and wine making.

THE F.LLI ZENI WINERY TURNS 150 YEARS OLD
Snapshots immortalize the Zeni family at work in the vineyard, in the barrel cellar, at the fairgrounds, but also in precious moments of private life: A Sunday at the Lido of Bardolino with children and grandchildren at the end of the 1960s. Pictures that are worth more than a thousand words.
For its ZENI1870 anniversary the family has begun a project to digitize the company’s historical archives. To tell this oenological success story, made of lives, faces and love, the Cantina F.lli Zeni has created an interactive photo album, the Story Book ZENI1870, now available in the Wine Museum's exhibition gallery and online.
One family and five generations enclosed in 150 years of snapshots to be browsed and discovered.
